1. Search for your desired location in the "Enter Address, Zip Code, or City" field and press Enter.

2. In Step 1 of the sidebar that appears, select Bedroom Count.

3. If you are in Manual Mode, the next step is Step 2 of the sidebar, and you will select the Data Type you want to view. For this tutorial, let's click Latest Data.

4. Let's set the Year field to search Current Data to see how the current distribution of Property Types looks like in this market.

5. You can view the Data Boundary by Zip Code or City By Zip Code. Let's leave it set to view City By Zip Code and press Generate Map.

6. In Step 3 of the sidebar, a pie chart shows the number of bedrooms per property in your market. Hover over the chart to view more information.

Tip! Use this feature to tailor your investing to the most in-demand property type. Don't waste time buying 1-bedroom houses if everyone in the market wants 4-bedroom properties!

7. On a white to green scale, the map is colored so you can easily compare the areas with the most housing units in the city. Hover your mouse over the map and see the exact numbers.

8. That's it! You know how to use Bedroom Count Data! You can now click on "New Search" to continue your market research.

9. If you want to research faster, toggle the button here to enter Speed Mode which skips Step 2 and searches with your default or saved settings.
