1. Search for your desired location in the "Enter Address, Zip Code, or City" field and press Enter.

2. In Step 1 of the sidebar that appears, select Build Permits.

3. If you are in Manual Mode, the next step is Step 2 of the sidebar, and you will select the Visualization Style you want to view. For this tutorial, let's click Heat Map / Pins.

4. Next, we can adjust the Time Frame. Let's view Permits Issued between 4/2022 to 6/2023.

5. Third, we can select the Permit Category we wish to view. Let's leave this at All.

6. Finally, filter the status and type of build permits you wish to view. For this tutorial, let's view All statuses and look at permits pulled for Residential and Commercial properties.

7. You can adjust the Radius in Miles. Let's select 25 and press Generate Map.

8. A weather map colors the market so you can easily locate the areas with the most development. Zoom in to see pins representing each individual permit.

9. Click on pins to view more information about the specific development.

10. Add the map to your layers so you can stack this data and hide/unhide it.

11. That's it! You know how to use Build Permits Data! You can now click on "New Search" to continue your market research.

12. If you want to research faster, toggle the button here to enter Speed Mode which skips Step 2 and searches with your default or saved settings.
