PDFs in BrightInvestor can be generated for every data type, every boundary, and for all subscribers.

On the left-hand side of your screen, there are three icons from top to bottom: Add Map to Report, Remove Last Page from Report, and Generate PDF.

Add Map to Report

Add Map to Report will take a screenshot of your map view and add it into a PDF report as a new page. There is no limit to how many pages you can add to your PDF report.

Remove Last Page from Report

Remove Last Page from Report will remove only the most recent page you added to your PDF report. This is helpful for when you accidentally add a page you didn't mean to.

Generate PDF

Once you've added a map to your report, this button will turn white and red indicating that you've successfully added a map. You can now select this button and generate your downloadable PDF report to share.

After selecting Add Map to Report, the Preview PDF Page pop-up window will appear. This window will prompt you to add a Page Title, Legend, and Notes.

Page Title

The page title will be displayed at the top of your finished PDF report and we recommend using a descriptive name such as "Location - Data Type" for your title.

Example: "Salt Lake City - Rent by Neighborhood"

Legend

The legend is a great place to describe the data types on your map view - such as stating that greener areas indicate higher rent! We're working on creating a dynamically generated legend which should be out soon!

Notes

The notes section is where you'll add in specific details about what you're seeing on the map.

Example: "Our investment company has 3 properties in this Zip Code and the new lead we're looking at is in an area where the average rent for a Studio apartment is $801. We should spend more time looking into the Capitol Hill neighborhood."

Once done, select Add to Report.

Understanding PDF Results

Your PDF report will generate automatically which you can then download to share with friends, team members, and real estate professionals!

That's it! You can now view PDFs using BrightInvestor!
